Sandy Pereira has been working in the cutting room for nearly 20 years, learning and honing her craft under the mentorship of illustrious editors and directors on several films such as, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises, Maps to the Stars, Blindness, and Fugitive Pieces. She has edited many award winning independent feature films and shorts including, Molly McGlynn’s Given Your History, Jane Tattersall and Tom Pepper’s, Tuesday 10:08AM, and Penny Eizenga’s Martin’s Hagge. Sandy won the 2017 DGC Craft Award for Co-Editing Nathan Morlando’s feature, Mean Dreams, and was nominated for a 2018 DGC Craft Award for editing Keith Behrman’s feature, Giant Little Ones, which premiered to critical acclaim at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. Most recently, Sandy has been nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for her work on CTV drama, Cardinal, for which she also won the 2020 DGC Craft award for Editing. Sandy has recently completed work on Aaron Martin’s series, Another Life for Halfire Entertainment and Netflix, and will be joining Charles Officer and R.T. Thorne this spring on their drama series for CBC/BET, entitled The Porter.
